Omnipress recently conducted an online survey of 150 association and event professionals. The results have been compiled and published in the fifth annual State of the Conference Industry Report, which tracks the evolution of educational content and the role it plays at the annual conference.
Educational content provides significant value to association members in 2019. However, event planners continue to face challenges in how they deliver programming to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse group of conference attendees. But while challenges exist, there are also substantial opportunities for organisations to increase visibility, extend their value and reach new audiences using their greatest asset – educational content.
Questions and themes explored in this report include:
- How are attendee demographics affecting content delivery at the event?
- What challenges are organisations facing in delivering educational content?
- How are associations using content to increase conference attendance?
- Are associations prepared for mobile natives, a.k.a Generation Z?
