This May the BestCities Global Alliance community of convention destinations welcomed Guadalajara, Mexico, as its twelfth member. The city earned its place through a shared commitment to support meetings that create a positive impact. Guadalajara went through a stringent process to join the Iceberg partner, including a detailed site inspection and tour of the city.
The agreement extends the alliance into Latin America. Guadalajara is home to the biggest convention centre in Mexico, along with 61 unique venues, 22 arenas and stadiums, and 23,500 hotel rooms in the metropolitan area. Expo Guadalajara, the country’s biggest convention centre, has 28,000 square metres of flexible meeting space.
Guadalajara joined BestCities Global Alliance in May 2022.
