Ben works in the international not-for-profit sector with an emphasis on professional medical associations.
Since 2019 Ben is Executive Director of EASL, European Association for the Study of the Liver. EASL has over 5,000 members, an annual meeting with over 7,000 participants, a portfolio of hybrid educational meetings, an online education platform and mobile solutions for HCP practice. EASL is active in public health and patient engagement, a trusted advisor to health authorities.
Previously Ben founded K.I.T. GmbH’s Association Management Division, managing associations such as International Liver Transplantation Society, International Union of Immunology Societies and International Society for Pediatric & Adolescent Diabetes.
Until 2014 Ben ran the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) event portfolio, including Europe’s largest medical conference.
Ben is currently President of ACForum and from 2016 – 2019 he sat on the PCMA Board of Directors.
