The recent BestCities Global Forum in Tokyo has once more won unanimous approval from its attendees. Australia’s Northern Territory has launched a scheme called the Northern Territory Business Events Support Fund. Event organisers can apply for financial assistance of AU$100 per delegate up to a maximum of AU$50,000, with priority given to meetings that align with key knowledge sectors and whose participants are mostly from out of state. ICC Sydney says it has prevented the use and discarding of 520,000 plastic bottles during its first ten months by using recyclable glass instead in all meeting rooms.
