The Sydney Handprint: Pride of a Nation

The Theme: Gather. Dream. Amplify and Sydney delivered on every level as Robin Mack, Executive General Manager for Commercial and Business Events, Tourism Australia, testifies in his review of the legacies of the event ranging from financial, health, and community support.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge was closed for only the second time as 50,000 marched

The Australian welcome was amplified through a series of investments including contributions to the Global Equality Fund, a $AUD26m 10-Year Health Plan for community research and education which emanated from the Human Rights Conference held in the city, and a new museum celebrating the cultural diversity and history of the community. And ICC Sydney, supported by local PCO Arinex PTE, worked to ensure that in hosting and catering for the sector, were able to set new standards and toolkits in DEI best practises across the events sector.
