C2 International has cancelled its C2 Melbourne event, which was to have taken place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in October. In the Whitsundays off Queensland, the Hamilton Island Conference Centre has officially reopened following a multi-million dollar refurbishment. Hamilton Island CEO Glenn Bourke said the investment demonstrated a commitment to business events. The Melbourne Convention Bureau has announced 25 percent growth in economic impact from secured business events over the last fiscal year, the strongest-ever financial contribution.
